Hidden Valley Ranch

Hidden Valley Ranch
Ultimate Resort

Nestled in the high desert along the foothills of Cookes Range, Hidden Valley Ranch is a quiet refuge in a dramatic setting. No trains or highways, just 7,000 acres of open range framed by endless skies, a setting that makes it truly one of the hidden treasures of the southwest. The absolute tranquility, diverse wildlife and stark beauty, invite you to stay and enjoy the ranch, while a wealth of sights and activities beckon to you from the surrounding area.

The ranch is only ten minutes from historic Deming, chile capital of the world. The Deming Luna Mimbres Museum offers insights into native culture, including renowned Mimbreno Indian pottery. Exploration in any direction offers more insights into the area's rich cultural, historical, and geological heritage.

Silver City, forty-five minutes northwest of Deming, is a quiet town that is home to many local artists and artisans. It is also the gateway to the Gila National Wilderness, the nation's first designated wilderness area and the site of Lake Roberts and the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument. Here visitors search for the secrets of the peoples who inhabited and forsook the dwellings in the last 2,000 years. Close by are the Catwalk, providing dramatic views of sheer rock walls and the Whitewater River, and the City of Rocks State Park, where forces of nature have sculpted their own version of a fossilized city.

Three other state parks: Spring Canyon, Rock Hound, and Pancho Villa provide rich scenery, distinct wildlife, botanical gardens, historical sites, and a chance to search for and keep semi-precious stones.

The abundance of rock hounds in the area spurs annual rock shows (in March and December). Other favorite local events include the Annual Great American Duck Races (August), Southwestern New Mexico State Fair (October), monthly archery and sporting clays tournaments, and nightly stargazing. With the abundance of things to see and do at a ranch that thinks of guests as family, you could find yourself returning often.

Amenities: This resort offers a clubhouse, picnic area, horseshoes, hiking trails, ATV tours and trails, laundry facilities, LPG Plant, and scheduled activities. Mexico border and historical ruins are nearby.
